Be Still my Child…

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

I’m not going to lie, this week has been rough and it’s only Monday. My life has been go, go, go and not an ounce of calm. School work piled on top of out of school activities and I feel like I am drowning. You know you need to calm down when your dad comes to pick you up and you tear up because he forgot to bring you food. This past week, and even this past month, I don’t feel like I had any time to just sit down and rest. I was near my breaking point. It was 2nd period today and I already felt overwhelmed. Then… I heard a whisper deep in my soul. “Be still my child… Slow Down… Breathe. I am here.” I still might have tons to do, but when God said that, I knew that I didn’t have to do it all on my own. It wasn’t all on me, God had my back. I wrote,” Be Still my Child” on my hand and throughout the day I looked at it and was reminded to slow down and breathe. God has your back. Through whatever life throws your way, know that God is with you and he says , “Just be still my child.”
